Creating a better Mzansi through sport and development
It was an awesome afternoon today as Lefaragatlhe hosted a magnificent and entertaining soccer tournament consisting of under 13 and 15 respectively. The tournament was based on having to know each other and making friends with the main thing at the side being developing youth especially the future talented young soccer players and parents of tomorrow. It was a top 4 for under 13 that started the matches and the teams where as follows, All Nations versus Black Eagles and Blizzards fc versus Dibunkers fc. The game started with a high tempo as all teams are rivals when it comes to the play and the Black Eagles scored first catissy of a set piece and All Nations equalized through a penalty which was misjudged by the official of the match and they went all out in the first stanza to lead the match 2-1 until the match went to the break. The atmosphere was blistering with lots of fans cheering up and second stanza was much more electrifying compared to the first with a well taken freekick from the same player who scored the first to make it 2-2 and the match went to the penalty kicks with the under dogs Black Eagles being victorious 4-3 it was the final score. The second match between Blizzards and Dibunkers went under way though the match was below par compared to what was expected and all ended up goalless with either of the side threatening to score. Blizzard fc won the match on penalties as expected. The community of Lefaragatlhe and Tlhabane came together as one to support and witness the talent from their fellow community members and kids in detailed. The teams where Lefaragatlhe community versus Tlhabane community being one site of Youthzones but different teams down here in Rusternburg. The under 15 tournament went under way with Blizzards fc playing against All Nations and the match was super to watch and very enjoyable with All Nations winning the match 3-2 thanks to a last gasp goal. The second match was more of a one sided as Dibunkers demolished Black Eagles 3-0 although they forged the players who are 17 of age which is not a good thing in our football and kills the name of development. The players of Black eagles took it as a lesson and said they gained experience although they played with age disadvantage because most of their under 15 players are under 13 players. All went well with a zero budget although i had to pop out my money to make sure that the kids are eating and do not go starved back home even though the response from them was just to enjoy football and making friends with fellow players. My advice for you fellow Youthzones leaders is to never expect things to be done for you and always try by all means to do something out of your love or pocket so that people who might see a gap for helping intervene in what has been started. Most people who like to help other people anticipate continuity for people who seek help, so put something in place to attract help from people. Thank you to Rosh, Blizzard fc coach and Go, All Nations coach for helping make the tournament a success and all credit must go to Youthzones for changing our thinking capacity and for bringing the positiveness in us.
