I always say Mandela has done his part, Steve Biko has lived and still talked about is his legacy and the message he sent across, we need to do our our part also. The greatest individuals black or white has lived and planted a seed through their legacy to have a better country in the future. My question I am asking is what am I doing which will benefit my descendants or future generation in our country. We cant take it away that SA is a beautiful country. My heart gets broken when I see my generation still sit around complaining and blaming with so much opportunities we can make from anywhere. We dream big of fancy cars, big houses, flying to the moon, big money, I mean we dream everything BIG but we can't do SMALL tasks to help ourselves. We just live fake hollywood while the reality is we have to work hard, stop complaining, blaming and use everything around you to make something. I hope and I dont want to sound like a pastor. I am bothered or rather hit by all this because I was devastated when the youth in one of our new site in Rustenburg left the field for almost a year bumpy and leaving the cars to spin and drive on it. They didnt fix it and they kept saying they are waiting for the councillor to bring the grater. These are bunch of young lads who are strong who love football but they cant be creative and initiate something. So even the councillor who is suppose to be our friend he promised us that the next day in our second visit he will fix the field only to come a week after nothing is done. So my friend (who had extreme sore body and hands after labour fixing the field) and I decided to go and buy two spades to fix the whole field. Now lately also some of my friends also failed to do small tasks I gave them and I had to do by myself and it bothered me hence I wrote this blog to share. Let us stop living fake life and be real. Everyday is job interview of my life. There is no so called entitlement in life. You get what you put in. I am what I see myself as.
