During the apartheid era,Art was used as means of voicing out frustration and discomfort towards the situation most people where facing. In Africa Art is part of culture. Bright and colorful attires,hair styles and beautiful story telling around the Bonfire. Rituals and ways of how past generations have survived being told through song and dance and art and murals. This is a very strong approach to get out any kind of serious message out. Thus We Are Powerful was created. The knowledge of our Human Rights is important and should never be taken lightly. We encourage all artistic people to come forth and display their talent and give a platform for expressing what it means to them to have Human Rights. We live in a beautiful diverse country. Our constitution has the Bill Of Rights in it and we as a people should know each of these rights. They were fought for blood,sweat and tears and so many sacrifices where made for the freedom we experience today as a youth. The power is in your hands. We Are Powerful.
