We waited for them at Let's Go Jozi Center From 21h00 on Friday the 14th, and they arrived at about 07h00 the next day.
A bunch of hyper active girls and boys and very passionate about their music. Lol at one time during the weekend Simon jokingly asked if they ever listen to anything else other that themselves. With some of them we just clicked instantly and some wen the weekend proceeded.
Great voices they have and beautiful attires they wear, they really do look presentable.
some where astonished by Jozi as I took some to Carlton Center through small street and that was a highlight for some of them. Some where not so startled in-fact they where disappointed by the dirtiness of Jozi and one even sent me an e-mail as I quote her "

Then it was competition time. We left for Vereeniging as the set destination and on the way I was forced to be a tour guide as questions were posed left and right. When we reached Vereeniging Hall it was empty.
I asked for the address again and the conductor said " zone14 vereeniging, Mphatlanatsane"
So we had had to turn back to Sebokeng as Mphatlalatsane is located there.
After two songs the spirit was not as high as I know it. Dimakatso a lead singer felt even worse as she felt that she sang bad and everyone blamed her.
We tried picking them up as Simon was making jokes and teasing them with things like "Zimqelele" and when it was time for the last performance we were shouting hardest since we were their only supporters besides two parents who work here in Joburg, I tell you that did the trick and they sang for gold but unfortunately they came eighth.
Parks the leader called them and motivated them and told them that this is a learning curve and that they must embrace it. For same it was a great achievement as they learnt more than music, but made friends, learned how to socialize, how to operate computers, how to keep in-touch with loved one and many more life skills.
After the braai in Sebokeng it was hard for them to leave and harder for us to leave Sebokeng before they depart. After a lot of contact exchanging and hand shakes and hug giving, it was time to go.
