On the 24th of November the ABI staff went for site visit in Freedom Park, Soweto. Even though it was raining earlier and muddy it couldn't stop any of the youth to come and train. The ABI staff (mostly ladies who I think when applying for their work, one of the requirements was beauty) mingled with the local youth boys and girls. They went to play netball game with the Girls Netball team and I must say it was great fun and everyone looked equal and there were jokes made. And it was fascinating seeing the ABI ladies being rejuvenated looking like high school girls during the game. We also held a life skills session on communication, transparency, listening and gossips. And after the game the girls were asking the ladies about their respective life journeys and how did they achieve what they achieved. One girl, Miyelani, asked Nosihle how can she become an accountant like her. This was one of the highlights of the day. After the game, Pretty, the coach of the netball team said something remarkable which touched my life. And she said the visit is beyond her dreams because she never thought anyone will recognise them in the community and what they are doing. They visit motivated them and they will continue doing what they are doing. And I must say big thank you to ABI for taking some time off from their busy schedule and visit and make friends in Freedom Park. Thank you, ladies.
