The power of the Data bundles.

Many people are concern about COVID- 19. Some feel remorseful for not bulking booze on the last day before the national lockdown, others are roaming around the street disobeying the law just so they can run away from their realities (are in a state of escapism). While others are stuck somewhere in their homes with no food to eat or rather nothing to consume and missing their families. I'm not speaking as an outsider but I too I'm affected directly and indirectly.

I didn't have the chance to be with my family, however, I thank myself for the day and time I took to teach my family particularly my mother and siblings how to use the social network platforms and the Internet at large. Today, they are able to video call me, especially if they haven't seen me for a long time, since the start of the lockdown I have been getting video calls every day. Sadly, I'm no longer the smartest or IT guru at home because my siblings can also practice some of the tricks i taught them, i do not even get calls no more to assist in anything that has to do with the IT.

Just 6 years back I didn't know how to use computer/laptop, or to create a simple email let aside that i didn't know the importance of the email. Until I started applying for jobs and a lot of people who had job offers requested my email address, I didn't know where to go or to even start. I started losing hope in going around looking for a job because it got to my nerve that everybody I meet wants the email address. A friend explained to me what's the email and showed me the process step by step how to create an email, simultaneously I had to also learn that to create an email you need data too. Afterwards, I had to explain to my family & friends that to have access to the internet with a laptop you need data too. It took them some time before they understand eventually, they understood.

Today, with the data I receive every month I'm able to speak to my family and friends (they keeping me accompanied). We video call, and we keep each other updated about COVID-19. It keeps us updated especially o this difficult time of lockdown & pandemic.
