When we found our shop like this (lookup) after the lootings and we had to dig deep in our shallow pockets just to stay afloat. Life seemed unfair and super biased.
We hung on for dear life (as should a good entrepreneur during such times) as the dream is not just to sell to school children but to open our own Kasi (township) Diner hence "Angie's Diner" and if it grows to a restaurant, who am I to say NO.
Then out of the blue, an angel from Youthzones gave me a call and explained that they didn't have much but they might be able to help if we let them. Now my shop looks like this.
Thanks to Youthzones and BE we are on our way towards our dreams.
This business used to employ temporal youth like:
Thembinkosi, Realeboha, Thabiso = for stocking
Mapaseka, Salamina, Soekie and Thabiso = for packaging (ukufasa amazimba and amakhekhe)
Ayanda and Mpho = as cashiers (selling)
Uber or Bolt drivers = for transportation.
All these guys are back at work and more shall be employed when we open our Diner.
