Everyday is sad in my work when I see kids, youth roaming around looking for home or place where they will feel loved and being appreciated. You name it, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, SA is all the same case. The solution is not to give that kid that money rather INVEST in social parenting skills and bring the affected parties together. The relationship and fellowship between the parents and children is very important. I meet different individuals in my work especially in my last visit in Mozambique. Young girls suffering from rejection and being unloved (lack of good parenting) and hence even leading them to even crossing the Zimbabwean border to become prostitutes in Mozambique. I spoke to let of them ad hanged around with them as friends (not that kind of a friend) and even invited them to supper couple of times and just be their friend and try to give them that attention and one can see how hurt they are and some of them are teachers. And a lot of them of them paying for them to go back home so their families can see them for Christmas and hopefully they dont come back. I understand and feel that the situation In Zimbabwe are tough but running away is not the solution and so is everything in life is not the solution rather face it and do the best with the little you have. They are someone 's children/daughters. I shared tears in my heart of how much we give birth to innocent children and let what we went through, it can be abuse, rejection and pass it to the offspring. And they grow with that for long time even when they are old. Curse from generation to the other. Please let's stop killing the soul of the innocents rather let's love them and mentor them to be the best. Parents sitting outside drinking beer the whole day, where are your children. How do you expect that baby or son or daughter to grow. Where is the self esteem will come from? Before we make that baby please let's think twice. How many are roaming in the streets everyday? How many individuals are inmates from us.
