I was away for a week and some days.... yesterday at about 6h00 in the afternoon I went to a nearby hill to get some air. What I saw really did not sit well with me. As I was sitting there next to the N3 highway - I saw a group of young boys coming from the bush across the road. They were about 15 tops in counting....and each of them had a cigarette in his hand and looking in their eyes they red - high from smoking dagga. Some used to play for our youth team of under 15.

The question I ask myself is that - does Intabazwe have the future or the devil is ruling our lovely tiny location. Some young boys have dropped out of school and go to work in farm, construction site etc. as for our young sisters as they dropped out of school....its really disappointing, some are prostitutes (at the age of 14 the youngest) and others are pregnant and they become other vat en set of the location at the young age. I can talk all day about the wrong doing of our youth but what it is important is the solution needed to change the situation.

PORVERTY, PEER PRESSURE AND BAD EXPERIMENTATIONS are the source of all the bad things happening in our beloved Intabazwe. some of the young ones doing this were learners in the school I am volunteering in.

I miss the days where we were growing up and all the elders in the location were our parents, we knew each very well and no one will do wrong things and get away with it. Today is Ntja eja ntjanyana every second.

I urge all the Intabazwe people to take a stand and make change in our community, it was once called Phomolong where people from all around Free State would come and enjoy the harmony that is there.
