One does not need a curriculum to learn life-skills. Every incident or situation can become a class-room.
That is whyYouthzones launched the life-skills competition only on the www.youthzones.co.za website, to teach participants that if you spend time on constructive things, you put yourself into a situation to benefit. Like they say: you have to create your own luck.
The adjudication was done by an independent third party in Fevertree Consulting, based in Sandton Johannesburg. Under the leadership of Prudence Ogunlade and Joshua Mumaw the entries were evaluated, assessed and scored. The consultants was very impressed with the quality of entries:
"For me the winner was very clear, GDM is on a different level, congratulations to them for their professional entry and hard work." said Pudence Ogunlade
"I was really impressed by the quality of the entries and the amount of effort that went into this, it is so uplifting to see this" added Joshua Mumaw
The results are as follows:
Overall Winner: Manica - R 8000
Second Prize: Cosmo City - R 4000
Best Pictures: Evaton North - R 2000
In life, we must not blame or feel sorry for ourselves, we must make our own luck, persevere and work hard until things go better.
