As the youth of Cosmo City we are proud of our community...we work hard all day trying to ensure that all is well not only for us but for the older generations and those before us. We got a chance to express our work on the youthzones website and consequently take part in the life skills competition. We completed the manual late last year but could not submit it early as challenges of laptops breaking down, photos disappearing and so on...we had almost given up hope...

As time went on, we found out about an extension on the due date and knew for sure that the competition is ours for the taking, at that moment we were short of balls, cones, whistles and realised that this was our opportunity to get back in there with new stuff for us, our older brothers, abo uncle and the younger ones.

We had to come up with worthwhile content and decided that all our initiatives would work hand in hand to achieve this, the kids loved the different life skills activities and wanted more, their feedback was awesome as they understood the message behind the games. My peers outstanding as they dedicated themselves to getting the work done, A shout out to: Ronny, Michael, Xola, Chris, Puleng, MaLebza, Lorna, Mdu and Sipho!

We took second place and winnings of R4000. It was decided to split the winnings 8 ways and get various sporting equipment. I would like to thank Youthzones for their initiative and for the good that they have done in inspiring us. Keep up the goodwork guys. Forget everything else and know that we do appreciate you!!

You're right Schallie, the feedback one gets from the games is never the same so there's always something to new to think about...Personally my biggest challenge has been sharing my feelings, I have taken up the challenge not to keep to myself but be open more!

Thanks for the motivating words Fortunate, they drive us assuring us that what we do is not in vain...have you seen the life skills manual with all the cool activities we did?

Sho Saks, sometimes I wonder if some of the life-skills exercises are childish, but then every time I do them with people I respect, I find that I learn something special. Maybe the trick to make each other rich is to share what we think and feel. I learn from many friends in Cosmo regularly.
