As from last weekend we are hosting a winter tourney for the under 15s and under 17s, it began on weekend, and it will go on until the 4th of August when we play the finals for both divisions. For the coming two weekends we will be hosting the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals respectively. The support from the community has been great and we are expecting more of them from next as the word has spread all around kasi about the tournament.

I manage to gather all 16 teams for both divisions (under 15 and under 17) and i am still going around encouraging coaches that used to have teams to join us for the league expected to start in August. The target is to get as much junior teams as possible as football in our kasi has been declining in the past 5 years. We once had such a league at Intabazwe but unfortunately things did go as we wanted them to be, with that experience i think we will go far than what we managed to in the past. We revive the spirit of football and togetherness in our location, and what we have experienced is that even the parents of these players are happy about the tourney after so many deaths of young lads in our community in the past months and we hope with this tourney going forward we can manage to bring back the spirit of ubuntu back to Intabazwe.
