It has been several times seeing this boy selling cup cakes for survival.
Today i just felt like asking him why he is selling during school time, are'nt he suppose to be at school because he is like 15 years old... that when started to tell me his story that brought me to tears.
He used to live at KwaNyuswa, which is 100km or more away from Durban. He stayed with his both parents untill they passed away, he was left with his siblings in the house of his parents, and one day an incident of a candle left them homeless when the house was burnt down.
He was forced to come to Umlazi and staye with his granny and uncle. This moving happened so late for him that he did not find a school that will naccept himat that moment. Inorder to carry on with the day he is using his everyday time to sell this cupcakes door to door. This has became his daily activity so he can help out at home....
