Hanging out with the youths in Kameeldrift for 5 hours prior to the Bidvest Wits vs Free State Stars game was an awesome experience for me. Having the opportunity to see the other side of life and different lifestyles made me learn to appreciate life. It was very educative and full of fun. By the time the bus (courtesy of Protea Coin), came to ferry 45 excited youths and myself to the game, I had had lots life's lessons and fun. I was amazed of Sdala's influence on the predominantly male travelling team.  

At the stadium, I was impressed by the youths' verve and discipline. They arrived and entered the stadium singing lively Wits songs and everyone was amazed. The most exciting guy from the group, Shortie earned a lot of female friends through his deft dancing skills as he joined the Wits Brass Band. It was a lifetime's experience for most of the youths but I was surprised by the way they mingled with people of different races in the stadium in an incident free manner!! Surely Youthzones is doing a commendable job with these youths. To wrap up the lovely day, Wits won the game by 2 goals to nil and everyone was very excited.

Great day to remember indeed!!!
