It all started well at Doc's new place on friday at Cosmo City when we all gathered together as family having a braai nd dinner wth the guys from London who came here in Africa voluntarily to coach football and help disadvantage communities with various skills like life skills nd football lessons. These guys have been at Mozambique Manica helping and teaching such things for two months and all came to success until they wher also been invited in SA and one if not many Youthzones sites by Schalk and Doc. We indeed had a great time with them in terms of learning more from them and also teaching them some of our things we do here in SA as a whole. The aim was to network make friends nd extend our family as u guys know that we are one big family no matter wat gender or culture we might differ in but still we remain one big family. We all had a great time there at Doc's place I, lindelwa, Doc,khensani,yolo,aran nd samuel. The fun did noyt stop the as the following day we had to go to Mamelodi for some soccer and interaction with Mamelodi site nd the football and netball teams. We did drive there nd by the Gods Grace we drove there safe and managed to arrive in time unfortunately due to recent heavy rains the football ground had been damaged by the rain which we firstly had to come with ideas on how to fix the ground which infact we did with the help of all the teams and kids of the community. As we all know that football unify people we had to come together as one group joke around and make friends before we even started with the matches which we played and the best team won 4-2 and it was the one I was playing for. We played 40 minutes each half and anyone who wanted to play was welcomed so all who wanted to play got his fair chance to participate. It was indeed a day to remember which it was also an eyeopener to anyone who was there that a simple round thing can really bring people together and take kids from loitering the streets nd getting involve in bad influences. Everything went well that after the games nd socializing amongst us the ladies also participated by making braai for us and food to eat after the games which we all ate and felt our stomach. Everyone enjoyed the day that they even forgot that today it was actually a derby day where Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs were playing but we could not care less which is something that impressed me. All went well until the time we where heading home still in Mamelodi, the Police stopped Schalk and his friend suspecting them of mybe dealing with illegal things, they stopped them pointed guns on them supecting something of wrong doing from the only to find out that non these are doing is illegal but they helping kids with combating such behaviour or wrong nd bad doings from them. Some Police offers said to me they whre suspicious coz how can to white people drive around Mamelodi nd the first question that came to my mind was is in it that SA is a free country and u can go anywhere u want to go with anyone? But beside that everything went accordingly and we learnt more from each other and it was fun interacting and making friends with everyone. I have to give them 10/10 for everything that they did to us nd the hospitality. The lesson learnt today was there is No "I" in a team so everything that u do u do it as a team and as individuals u will not get rewarded but TEAM effort is rewarded so the is still more UBUNTU in us people we just have to believe.
