Getting to Johannesburg....Great Moments 1

It began on Thursday morning when I got a call from Marvin Hleko, giving me a call checking if I will make the time to the airport... At the time I was finilising my work at the office as I was planning on being away for the entire weekend...I was overwhelmed with excitement for this particular trip which was my first time going to Johannesburg, my first time taking a ride on the flight and to actually travel on the Gautrain... I just knew this was going to be a great weekend, as I realised it was going to be packed with new surprises, experiences and new faces.

I have a good friend of mine who offered to drop me at the airport just in time for the journey to Jozi, when I got at the drop off parking area in Cape Town International Airport, he shared some couple of pointers to be aware of during the flight and when I got to Jozi, and that was in addition to the instructions that I got from the Youthzones Staff, and that show cased that people around me cared and appreciated the experience of the journey to Jozi as I did, for this was more of a dream coming through for me.

I took flight in Cape Town after 15:00 and I was so amped, knowing that in no time I will be landing in Jozi... the weather was cloudy from the ground and when we were above the clouds, and that was my first time looking at the clouds on a view from above...the view was great and I had to look over the other two people that were sitting next to me as I was sitting on the Isle, but the picks I did manage to get show-cased such beauty of the clouds on a view from above...the flight hosts were great and they served good food...also the flight was of good quality, that was a flight of over two decades that I have been living in the Cape and it was the first of many to come...and my friends through youthzones did a good job in making the journey a pleasant experience. I landed in Jozi in one piece, and the first person I wanted to call was my mother, as my phone began receiving reception at the OR Tambo International Airport.

To be continued...
