While gays and lesbians people are as diverse as the rest of the population their shared experience of discrimination creates common health issues.

Homophobia means fear of sexuality,some people may feel threatened by people who have sexual preferences other than their own. They may express this fear in variety of ways ranging from subtle discrimination to overt violence.
In my community people are so scared to come out because of their parents as well as people around them. Other people still believes that if you gay you have demons. Others they become depressed and end up committing suicides.

Let us respect and know that people are not the way you want them to be.
Treat them equally that what diversity is all about.
We should also teach parents to accept their kids the way they are.
In South Africa legal recognition and protection of gay and lesbian rights are improving.
