Feedback from Teramai after Manica Mutare Exchange

Hi bro

The exchange game with our friends from Manica (GDM) went on very, very well. It was so refreshing to meet with all those friends, the likes of Nelson, Waru Waru and that music guy!! It was also good to see the re-union of Bruce, Pingi and myself as we took time to remind each other of our unforgettable 2010 World Cup experiences!!! We also laughed it out as we remembered Waru Waru's "World Cup" experience at the RSA border!! We cried with laughter Schalk. We had a very, very nice time.

We started a bit late, around past 4pm as there were provincial primary school games in the stadium. We had already made a booking for the stadium but as is the norm, government programs will always bulldoze other programs. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was quite good as the stadium was almost full. Several kids were excited and learnt from one life-skills activity we managed to conduct before the game. We only did one as we were very much behind time. The young kids enjoyed the stuff. You also know how excited they become when they see a "murungu" in their midst, what more playing soccer among them.

Coming to the game now, GDM outpaced our players in the first half and they deservedly led by 2 goals to nil. They could have led by a very big margin, had they utilized all the chances that came their way. Let me tell you that most fans fell in love with the GDM team as they showed touches of brilliance. This year the team looks very strong. The guys from Arsenal also earned a lot of admirers from the crowd!! Everytime they were in possession, there were whistles and cheers!! After half time, Mutare United came back re-juvinated and managed to come from behind to snatch a 3-2 victory by full time.

There is power in friendship. Regardless of all hardships we are having, our coming together with our friends lifted our spirits high. We shared experiences and strengthened each other. Both parties really wish if it was possible for us to meet regularly like this.

What a refreshing and exciting day it was

Stay blessed.

Regards

It is great! Awesome. Good networking and friends. This is a good example of saying borders are created by greedy individuals, we are all brothers and sisters. Nice one, Bafowethu!
