Evaton North YZ Leaders planned a trip to Durban after we heard that Doc and Simon together with ABI are going to have a CSI day in Umlazi. The trip was great from the beginning when Doc said he can take us to Durban with the car, even when things didn't seem to go well at first but our spirits were very high so nothing could touch us. We then met with Joey who is an awesome chick, free spirit and all. We really had a great time in the car singing songs (most of them made up lol) and talking about everything under the sun. we became instant friends cause we just clicked from the word go.

we got to durbs and it was awesome, the views, the sea, customer service of Durban Spa was wander-full. We then Forced Doc to stay with us so we can help him with the CSI in Umlazi and we a time of our lives with him. He took us to Umhlanga Ridge, Moses Mabida, Gateway Shopping Theater, we workedin Umlazi, we even saw Umbilo. 

We had a lot of bad experiences in Durbs but we never dwelled on them cause we were always in prayer. This was a very great great learning curve for me and I think I speak for the whole team when I say that. we saw how other youth making it happen for them selves even in very unfriendly neighborhoods. One boy from even said that he is afraid to go to the shop at night but he has lived there all of his life. But he is a member of the youthzones and wants to make a difference in his community and that is what YZ is all about.

This trip definitely brought us closer as a team of Evaton North, maybe the other teams can do that too and you get a very good rest in the process. We were very fortunate have Doc with us as we also learned a lot from him, God bless him for he was sent by him to us. To speak but the honest truth we would never survived in Durban if he wasn't there.

All in all we learned and learned and learned and now we have a story to tell.
