On the 1 December is the world Aids Day but here in Phuthaditjhaba we were celebrating this day in style the Mec of Treasury in Free State Mrs Elzabe Rockman was organised Christmas Party for the kids from less fortunate background. When I ask her about this Christmas party she said, We have been doing this Christmas parties for the past 3 years in Letsemeng and the second year we add Moqhaka. This year, Premier suggested that we do another Christmas party in QwaQwa to coincide with the world Aids Day celebration on 1 December. We also decided to add the Mantsopa,Mohokare,Naledi and Kopanong local municipalities.

The purpose of the Christmas Parties is to spread the message of Goodwill and Ubuntu during festive season. I fundraise to cover all the expenditure for the Xmas sweety bags,Gifts,Cold drinks and food that we provide. Its also important to me that we actively contribute at a personal level as well money or toys because we have a responsibility as those privileged enough to have jobs and income to share with those less privileged.

It was great event and i was touched.
