Attitude can take one anywhere in life, Sdala in Kameeldrift is an example of that

Yesterday on the 27th of May 2013, a girl by the name of Sdala in Plot175 informal settlement received a gift of her lifetime. She got a new literally fancy shack with solar panels, lights, water tank, taps, generator, warm walls. She deserve it or rather she earned it simply because she runs boys team, and she plays with them and she is a captain. She always there for us whenever we do things she will be there to clean the fields, to help the pre schools, to facilitate tournament, to coordinate the whole.  And this was a wake up call and lesson for her other teammates and our other friends in the community that no one is a charity case in life you work your own way up. This young girl I must say she is an inspiration and her attitude is incredible. You sit in life, you become poor.  You do something you get somewhere. This was donated by Architects for Change who are our friends. Thanks Dirk, John and Anton. What was nice was to see senior players and her teammates assisting to build the shack until late at night. That was nice.

What a wonderful example of what happens when we don't give up - go Sdala, and a true example of what can be done if we really want to help others - go Architects for Change!!! Doc - you put us mlungu's - who battle to speak Zulu or Sotho or Pedi to shame, with your Afrikaans !!!!! YouthZones you rock!!!
