Its always nice to visit other places and the community that works with Youthzones together with the leaders so to reflect on everything that we came across during our journey in to past and at present and to learn more from each other and giving each other the tips of how to empower our fellow communities. We had a great day discussing the issues we faces in our communities and how the to combat them. Although sport plays a major role in fighting and limiting the chances of youths involving in bad substances and the involvement of youthzones in our communities. I chilled with Ayanda, Thulani and myself the front leaders of youthzones in our respective communities. I had to hear from them as they are the one who originate here in Umlazi how they are managing in the community and they told me that they struggled before as they are coaching the girls and that was a challenge to them because they had to win the community to trust them and even the girls even though some of the community members where talking bad behind them, they had to keep pushing hard so to achieve their objectives which is to see the youths specifically out of the streets playing soccer. Thulani is a great guy one of the best good people i have met in my life. He is awesome and has made me feel like home here in UmLAZI. He is teaching me Isizulu and the place of Umlazi and Durban. It is good that i am learning and will definitely reflect to my community and my team. Its very difficult here because i came i do not remember meeting someone who speaks even a little bit of Setswana or Sesotho but its good that i am learning a lot. The places are totally different to each other in terms of the behavior and lifestyle of the communities but for me to be here it is a an experience and a learning curve. i am glad that i am not limiting my potential in learning and exploring one of our sites and advices you guys to never stop learning and working hard because hard work pays.
