U/14 team coaches and team reps invited for a 2 day BPC Youthzones hiking leadership and soccer exchange.

Day 1 was filled with excitement and anticipation of not knowing what is about to take place. All 20 coaches from different parts of Impala, Rustenburg first time coming and working together for a common goal...''to groom future leaders and improving safety through sport''.

Exciting and adventurous day started at Shelter Rock in Magaliesburg, where they were to take a 12 km hike to the top of the Magalies Mountain.

One of the coaches was telling me how challenging yet fun it was to see all coaches sharing this day together for the love of their community but especially for the kids.

I have been a part of many community soccer leagues new and old but this one is ''beyond soccer''-- I personally see a beginning of something beautiful --engaging young people, building confidence and exposing them to new places and people but starting with the leaders of the teams. But then first it starts with the leaders--you groom them to groom the future stars, entrepreneurs and future academic professionals....
